Robert Fisher

Robert N. Fisher serves as Counsel at Christina Humphrey Law, P.C.

Robert advocates on behalf of employees and consumers in class and collective cases. He also teaches as an Adjunct Professor at The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.
Robert has represented thousands of employees in cases seeking unpaid wages and overtime and compensation for termination without notice as part of mass layoffs. He contributed to an appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States which successfully preserved employees’ rights to priority for wage payments in bankruptcy proceedings.

Robert has also represented clients in groundbreaking litigation in the area of digital discrimination. He was a member of the team that obtained an EEOC ruling determining that advertisers violate Title VII when they use social media ad filters to steer job ads based on race, age, and gender. He also helped engineer the first major settlement concerning bias in social media advertising in which a leading social media platform agreed to modify its ad sales portal to prevent advertisers from engaging in discriminatory ad targeting.

During law school, Robert served as an Articles Editor on the NYU Environmental Law Journal. He was named a 2021 Super Lawyer Rising Star in Class Actions and Mass Torts, was a member of a four-attorney team named a 2017 Law360 Bankruptcy Group of the Year, and part of a practice group that was named a Law360 Employment Group of the Year for several years.
