Fatal Bicycle Accident in Morgantown Hit-and-Run

A cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run accident on July 6 on Earl Core Road in Morgantown.  According to a story on the WDTV website, Divante Coles was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.  Monongalia County EMS and Morgantown Fire Department responded to the scene.

Following a police investigation the vehicle that caused the accident was located by Morgantown Police Department and is now in their custody.  No news on the driver of the vehicle has been released.
